But, I do know this… I float in water.

I learned at a young age that I was naturally buoyant.  I don’t have to tread water or do the dead mans float to stay above water.  I can just sit there like a fishing bobber waiting for a bite.  I’m sure there’s a real smart answer for why this is possible… but I’m going to boil it down for ya… I’m FAT!

My hypothesis (that’s right I said hypothesis) is that Fat people float in water.  Not just any fat person can float… you have be super fat!  This just gives me extra confidence that if my boat goes under or my plane crashes in the ocean, I have better odds of surviving.  My feet won’t get tired of kicking because I’m just going to be chilling in the water.  I remember on the Riley swim team, that’s another post I need to write, we had these drills where we had to jump in the deep water and tread water and see who could last for the longest time without letting their head go underwater.  I always felt like I was cheating on this drill, because I didn’t even have to kick!

I came across this plus-size water life vest in Living XL and it just made me laugh because I have one built-in!

I’m so tired of people staring at me. You’d think I would be used to it by now, but I’m not.
Don’t get my wrong… I can handle quite a bit of staring. 
It’s just that every once and a while I think I’m entitled to a blow-up!

 

Let me just say this right off the bat… most people stare at me.
Most people use the typical “stare tactics”
1. They see me coming.
2. They look away and regain their composure! (acting like they never saw me)
3.  They then find a way to sneak another peak.
4. Repeating steps 2 & 3 until I am no longer in sight.  


Here’s what I hate…
Staring at Fat People  

 

 

When people just blatantly stare!!!!

To top it off, they can’t just enjoy the eye candy for themselves… they have to share it!
That’s when they nudge the person they’re with and point at me. 
I’m glad I could bring joy into you and your friend’s life!
Lucky me. I’m a walking joy machine.

I don’t mind when kids stare. I know I’m huge.  They don’t know it’s wrong to yell ‘He’s Fat!!”
or do they?

Well, that’s my rant on people staring.  
I will post soon with some ideas on how I handle people who stare.
Things that I’ve done in the past and ideas I have for the future!

I recently went to Boston and attended a Boston Red Sox game, the game was amazing the atmosphere was great and the Red Sox played amazing and won by 10 runs. My problem was the fact that the seats were so small that I did not fit in them. I sat down on the very edge of the seat and slowly pushed myself back into the seat, so my sides were being smashed into the seat and my knees were hitting the seats in front of me. When the game was over my side was hurting a little bit and when we got back to the hotel I looked at my side, I had a HUGE bruise from a ball park seat.

With the world getting larger I am wondering why there isn’t a dedicated “Fat Person” seat or section? This may seem offensive to some but I would rather be able to do things in comfort and enjoy my experiences even more than not be able to do something at all.

I haven’t been to an amusement park and gotten any amusement in a very long time, due to the fact that I do not fit on the rides. I do not go to amusement parks any more because I know I will not enjoy myself, and I am sure there are others like me, so the companies are losing money from us.

I am just asking for one seat (amusement parks) or one section (ball parks), sure there will be bigger lines or people staring and making fun of the “Fat Section” but I am willing to take that to be able to enjoy myself (I’m used to people staring by now!).
