I have found life to be a tad more difficult as a big guy! (compared to a guy of normal size)
Just to name a few…
- Constantly being stared at
- Difficulty in travel/mobility
- Finding comfortable seating
- Getting clothes that fit
- Facing the "fatism" that exists in our culture
These are all issues that I look forward to discussing in further depth. I would like this blog to start a conversation and develop into something much more than just a monologue by me!
So, if you are a big person yourself or just interested in a trials faced by those that are… check back soon or subscribe to the feed.

Dude. This rocks. As a fellow large and in charge guy, this is great. Here’s a question for you: Whybdo I have to pay more for a XXL or XXXL shirt at Wal-Mart?I’m not a huge fan of Wal-Mart (no pun intended) as it is. And one more thing. Why is it that I have to shop for pants online from Old Navy? Why can’t they carry them in the store?
